They should have your info unless consulate hasn't sent it. they use your passport number as reference. so call again if they didn't use your passport number to search. in any case ping the consulate again.

Actually this time I asked my friend in US to call DOS, and he used the computerized answering system with my petition number and they did say that my H1-B petition has been approved. I don't know if I mispronounced/mistyped anything when I did it last week, but at least now I'm sure that it is on DOS' system. I agree with what you are saying. But, we need to compare the taxes too. Not sure of the taxes charged by vonage when compared with teleblend.
even if the taxes are slightly more, vonage gives you 2 months free (save $50) and ships you adapter free, no shipping and activation with a referral. Your referrer gets 2 months free too. If you put this in to mathematics, vonage may come out cheaper than teleblend. Additonally its much more established and bigger VOIP provider.

There is nothing wrong in reporting fraud.
However your argument that you are reporting it since you cannot tolerate fraud isn't that convincing.
If you were always against injustice/lawlessness, you will see a lot of it in your daily life. Do you report or take action against each of those ? I don't think so.
After living in India for long and seeing people put up with all injustice and sometimes doing it themselves, it is hard to believe your argument that you are doing it just for the sake of law.
How many times in this thread I have mentioned that I am getting replaced by one of these L-1B resource, I am a poor Oracle/DB developer who fortunately cannot be replaced by L-1B visa resources (as my skills is a common technical one). So once these violations impact your day to day life you look around for ways to stop this fraud. Its true that if I was a Nuero Surgeon in Phily or a Astro Scientist in Houston I wouldn't be interested in this violation :-) .... tomorrow let this scenario happen to you ... you would be first one to raise the alert.
Regarding 'getting burnt', I don't think there is bigger burn than loosing our jobs (which already is happening) and hope you know that there is something called 'anonymity'... ya lets see whos going to get 'burnt' here. We'll definetly keep you updated regarding the outcome.

Why should USCIS approach oldest priority first? Well because that is how the law is. The law only affords you the initial set of numbers all the spill-over numbers from another category is supposed to be used in a FIFO manner.

Guys do not feed the freeloaders by telling anything you are reading in the donor forum. Let these people help themselves by signing up for recurring contributions if they want helpful nformation about their EB2 PD movemement. We are still not meeting of our advocacy day amount. It is all because most people want free lunches. This needs to stop. The 200 people going to DC tomorrow are going to speak for you and me for yours and mine greencard. They are taking time off and spending own money for you and me. Nothing is free in this world. IV is also doing this for you and me and we are taking it for granted. I cannot help but point out a flaw in your case: You say that your technical skills is a common one. Yet you don't seem to have an issue that you have applied in EB2 - exceptional ability / advanced degree. At this time, you are likely holding a H1B status - a speciality occupation visa. Something does not add up now, does it?.
However, I'm with you on wanting to stop L1 visa abuse (and H1 visa abuse as well). There needs to be a more definitive way of knowing L1 visa is being misused to replace US citizens and green-card workers.
Hope any one can qualify for EB2 with a advanced degree / 5 years experience IF the job requirements need the same, my comment regarding the 'common technical' skills was in the context of technical skills available in the market here is US and the way USCIS/consulate considers these technical skills. Java/.Net/Oracle or any of these technical skills doesn't qualify for a L-1B visa irrespective of the no. of years of experience, for Eg. a resource with 10 Years of Java experience may qualify for EB2 (once again, as per job requirement for PERM) BUT WILL NEVER qualify for L-1B visa.
Hope this cleared your doubt and definetly using L-1B resources for common technical assignments has become a common practice amoung outsourcing companies due to advantages these organisation has (discussed earlier in this thread) and we are fighting against this abusal of L1 visa.

2) (copy 2)Send a copy of that letter to IV. After the letters are sent to the President, IV will have a meeting with senior administration officials. In that meeting we will carry the copies of the letters and deliver to them.

Thats correct. I came back from India yesterday and i used H1 but my wife used her AP to enter at the POE.
Thats the right way. Probably I should not have told him that I have AP in my hands. This is what my attorney said. But now I have no idea if my h1 will be extended or not once I have used the AP.

I applied for EAD on 03/22 online and the service center is Nebraska. My current one expires on 07/07. I applied exactly 3 and 1/2 months before. I checked the USCIS web site, it says one need to apply 6 months before the expiry of current one. I'm little worried as I'm not sure if I can get my EAD in time before 07/07. Any inputs as to what can I do in case if I don't get my EAD in time

NVC is rarely wrong in their prediction, sometime they do start processing app in case USCIS fails act on enough cases in last quarter and in case if they have to forward date ahead they want to make sure consulates are ready with file to close.
Since this is June 2007 case , they might be expecting real GC allocation upto April 2007 but they want to keep buffer of 2 months.If person who posted this info is not making april fool joke then PD in last quarter will be defiantly up to June 2007.
