My attorney signed my I-485 AOS/EAD/AP applications and posted them on July 2nd as he was in a hurry to apply because of July 2nd scenario. Is it ok for the attorney to sign our papers. Is anybody in the same boat as me. I am a little concerned as the USCIS FAQ says application can be rejected if signature is missing. The application reached USCIS on July 3rd.
My attorney also did the same. I did not sign on my application. But he sent me power of attorney to sign. They did this since they were beating the July 2 brouhaha which previous to that week, they already knew what's going to happen.

PD isn't current, but just check i-485 online status, showing "Document production or Oath Ceremony" (i.e., the last cycle).
There was indeed a soft LUD in June this year. After that nothing much else. Is there sth good coming along my way?
Appreciate if anyone here can share his/her thoughts/comments.
Don't rely on online status, take infopass and check it out. BTW, it is most likely a FP notice, not an approval.

I agree with Anders. Diagonals are always a nice draw for the eye. Also, a little more DoF would be nice because the bottom right of the leaf is just creeping out of the focal plane. Cool leaf texture, good choice of subject.

As many regular readers of this blog know, I am impressed by the amazing work of Vivek Wadhwa, research associate at Harvard, and an entrepreneur in residence at Duke. The report by Janet Babin starts with an unemployed Silicon Valley engineer and ends with Wim Elfrink � Cisco�s Chief Globalization Officer who is based in Bangalore. This pieces and other recent pieces show that plodding ideas about commissions and study groups to recommend visa numbers are relics of a past age. The question is, will Congress act quickly enough on immigration reform to actually make a difference in helping our economy recover. Every immigration lawyer knows these simple truths--lazy people do not walk across the desert. And, its corollary--the Hope that is American attracts those willing to work hard to succeed. Well, the former principle is still true, at least for now. The latter is giving way to hopelessness--backlogged visa numbers ("encased in amber"), and a growing and vibrant economy in China and India. The failure to act quickly is going to cost America in the long run. Yes it matters.
During my LCA my company moved 10 miles to another city which was in a different county and my attorney had to file for a new LC. In fact she also asked to mention any other location (like house if in different city) if that was applicable.
The main reason for that is salary level.
My company is in a different state. I am consulting and hence working in a different state. Do we specify the job location in PERM application ? If yes, does it matter that I am working at a different location ? I am working on applying PERM in EB-2. Thanks.

Don't worry..Apply for EAD replacement Card immediately...You can work for 90 days based on EAD replacement Receipt Notice.

I lost my renewed EAD. It was approved for 2 years. My license is expiring in SEP 30th. Can I submit AP in DMV for status check. If I applying EAD for lost card, Can I at least submit receipt notice? I dont think I wont get replaced card before SEP 30. Please help me. I am not in H1B status.

Hey, just be confident.. not all people get a chance to go in a place and apply for a job.. besides, if you have all the qualities of an applicant, there is no reason to be shy, rather tell your interviewer on what you can do to be an asset and help the company grows more.:D

Can the lawyer ask for the missing form; and will it have to be done by the USCIS at the I-140 stage? I was under the impression that only the USCIS can do this?

I work with a consulting company on client side. The client is planning a shutdown for 2 days a month - 2nd and 4th Friday.
Do you guys think its gonna impact 485 application. I am asking this question cause the labor was approved for 40/hrs per week and the salary slip shows the number of hrs worked per month which will be lesser than 160 (in case the month has 4 weeks).
BTW, I am on EAD and 140 approved couple of years back.

You should maintain 40/hr per week. This could mean - your consulting company paying these days for your "full time job". The other option is - taking paid time off for these days. Again, it should be paid time off.

It wont hurt you to have both. Whichever gets approved faster only benefits you. I have an I-130 filed for me in 2001, F2B, as well as an EB3 based with a PD of May 07
