I don't understand why people take offensive about expressing thoughts that has no bearing/ insulting towards anybody. I think using his/her language gives a person a powerful tool to express the emotion in a positive way. I think it shouldn't matter, if the person doesn't have ill feeling towards anybody.
This forum is nothing but a virtual place where like minded people mingle and discuss their sorrows and excitement; if somebody uses some other language to express feeling shouldn't have negative bearing on anybody. Of course, brief explanation in English is certainly helpful.
So far IV has enough people in almost all languages who can point out the trash or curse words that alerts other members who in turn can coordinate with admins to weed out those members from community.
I think these folks are better than the members who use the wild characters to trash talk all the time.
In my experience, I have seen the poetic folks are strong motivators and most of the folks that write these beautiful stanzas are selfless workers towards the community.
In short, I think we should not veraciously criticize these gentle folks.. Be kind to them.

I do know recently where a person who got married before his greencard approval and filed his wife's case. He got approved but then three months after his approval; his wife has been sent to local office interview. I'll let you know what the outcome of that will be.
Another person was on F-1 and went straight to greencard through Schedule A. he got married after he filed for 485. Since he didn't have any non immigrant status; he could not bring his wife here. She had to do follow to join and chennai consulate asked all sorts of questions. Tax returns, w2's, letter from employer; when he joined and when he left.
Think of it this way; were you traveling before greencard with same employer? If you were then what would have changed that all of a sudden you don't like it. It would be a more plausible excuse if you didn't travel at all before and they started to make you do it after greencard approval.

Your point is very much valid, But ok lets for a min assume H1b is eliminated completely. Do you think these big IT firms or even small consulting firms stop doing their business ? No. if not H1B there will be other way bringing ppl for short term. they will be some other way to do it. H1B is not designed keeping us in mind its designed keeping US Citizen employers in mind. and also it is adding to USCIS revenues. if you see even in current fiscal year i have seen all of my friends who did premium got thier H1b approvals.
The reason i said H1B outsourcing will start is most H1's are held by Big IT firms of India. If they do some thing that will hurt it they will do something else or reduce onsite avail or make it short term there will be some other workaround but no way these jobs will go back to americans.
Key point we have to argue and keep on doing it is the fact that , drawing a comparison between us and illegals. Even illegals have marched on streets and expressed their concern of not leaving USA if so why we paying millions of taxes adding source to housing market and GC in a valid stage , should ever even think of losing it ?

Trust me my friend, I have seen it happen all the time, from large Telecom firm to Govt., its always there, most of the consultants just doesn't come to know about it, but the cut for the managers is there in some form, almost always. Why do each manager has a specific vendor through whom they want to hire most of the time? What else is the reason for the client to pay the consulting company $180/hr but they won't give 'valueablehurdle' anything more than $50-60/hr?
On a different note, now that NSG approved the waiver, most desi uncles, some of them are also owners of desi consulting companies will claim that they are the father of Nuclear deal. These bastards (sorry for my french) always oppose any GC fix and they tell their favorite congressman/senator (each has atleast one favorite politician for whom they do fund raisers) that gc backlog is not an important issue for the community. India Abroad, Times of India, rediff and other desi portals/newspapers will write 'Oliver North' style stories about these desi uncles knowing well that companies like GE etc put their weight behind the deal as it will create commerce to commerce over $20 billion/yr. But desi uncles/orgs will not stop claiming to be the father of nuclear deal. The fact is, most of these desi uncles made noise not because they wanted to do something for their country of birth, they are doing it because they think that if the nuclear deal passes, they can play middle man for US companies to sell the technology/material to Indian companies/govt. Most of the so called 'united voice of Indian-Americans on the Hill' organization's goal is to make big bucks by playing 'middle man' for companies wanting to sell technology to India. And as always, just as 'valuablehurdle''s client (paying $180/hr) Indian govt. will pay double the cost. These desi companies have squeezed blood of people waiting for gc, but now they think its time to move on to play big game with the big boys. OKay, when I commented on the English, I was trying to be funny (which obviously I am working on) and see if that can help you in the misinterpretation angle.
Also, when someone does not support your theory, he/she is actually supporting you, by letting you know that your theory does not sound reasonable.
Contact a Taiwanese/Asian lawyer and ask him to help you. You can add him as a lawyer, and even if you are replacing your lawyer, and if asked, you can claim language barriers with the old lawyer.
And no, we are not experts here, and no one has claimed to be one, but I believe the real purpose of yours posting your situation here was to have ideas. There are thousands of thoughts going thru your mind on this situation and you are definitely not able to see thru clearly.

Now the negative point is mostly from my statement, no matter whether you believe, the attorney told me drag with anger is battery. we think that's okay does not mean it is okay on the law. So I wish you guys be careful on this kind of play around to avoid any trouble. I knew you all have better english than me. so you could explain clearly :) But Same level, do it on your spouse is even worse on a stranger.
I create this thread just wish listen your opinion and try public view how much chance I can win the jury trail. Some of your advice is really helpful and I will take them.
My wife is writing the mail to DA and wish it helpful to my case. I will have several rehearsal with my attorney in coming weeks. Anyway, we will fight for the justice and not accept that ridiculous battery charge.

Do you really need a Green Card, Permanently reside in United States and eventually become a U.S Citizen ?

If the H1B Visa allows you to work here for 20 years, if spouse can work on H4 visa, you can get in-state tuition for studying, and you can claim the money you contributed to Social Security anytime you decide to leave this Country --- WILL You be in the LINE for Green Card ?
We all came here looking for greener pastures. But How many of you think this Country and this Culture is great ? Now think about the Economic Growth - The US is still the most competitive but they are not the Number One anymore.
In my case I am in the GC Queue, for spouse work permit and better job prospects...get promoted, can change employer etc. And Ofcourse make money...But eventually, say 10 or 15 years here then I want to move back to my home land. So I had to apply for GC so that I can stay for few more years here.
But on the darker Side I am tied to my employer, cannot change jobs, and no promotions literally Zero growth on career.
Most H1B holders get very good offers when they move back to their home countris after say 10 years. But the H4 spouse who spent al these years rotting in the USA again have to continue rotting....Their prospects are dim. So I want to get my GC. Let my spouse work here for couple of years and move back to my Own country.
If the H1B visa was not as restrictive I would not have applied for a Green Card. I would have never been tied to a specific Employer. I would have gotten Promotions. I would have had better career satisfaction and more savings If my spouse too were working.....
So why not H1b made more HUMANE ?;) ;) ;)

Hello,
I am new to this site and had a question about the Nov. bulletin that maybe someone might be able to answer. I am EB3 ROW and I am still not able to submit my I-140 + I-485 concurrently by 5 days (my PD is July 5, 2002).
Do you expect the EB3 ROW dates to move forward at all in the Dec. bulletin?
I just need to know because my lawyer is pressuring me to submit my I-140 not concurrently, but I wondered if I just should wait for a month.

He made that statement after he had a conversation with Mr. Charles Oppenheimer. We sliced and diced that number in one of the thread.

If they pass this, they would relief a sizeable portion of illegal immigrants to get amnesty through their children (few millions). I am just wondering whether the illegal alien supporters would lose steam to support CIR after this ? Ironically, they would get a sizeable amnesty, overhelm USCIS with millions of applicants and probably make the passage of a CIR bill more distant. I can't think of something less advantageous to us than this. I hope I am totally wrong.

If you live in NY state, please contact bottlemani or myself. We need to organize ourselves before meeting the lawmakers. We will also have to take the trouble to drive to their offices. If we don't do this, all these pessimistic predictions will come true. Believe me, meeting the folks in the offices of the lawmakers makes a huge difference.

There has been established a way to deal with backlogs at Dallas and Philly, and these officials at PBEC and DBEC have been given a deadline of Sept 2007 to clear everything. So someting is and will be done in this regard. Not much more can be done here with PBEC or DBEC, and the real test is to get solutions for the retrogression.
Once the laws are passed on the immigration reforms, its a done deal my friend, and then it does not matter how much we try after this to address retrogression. This is our only chance.
BUT realize that there have been delays in PBEC and DBEC only because of lack of resources, which can be added or taken off...and this will speed up or slow down DBEC or PBEC. This can be controlled outside legislation.
