Will CIS generate the Receipt notice first before transfering the application to the appropriate service center. ( like transfering the application from NSC -> TSC when the I-140 was approved at TSC but filed at NSC)

I do not think any of you who is beating him down like this has any right in doing so. I bet that each and every one of you have done more mistakes than Mr.Sahaayam did. You just were never caught. You need atleast 2-3 paystubs, employment verification letter from employer, bank statements with a decent balance etc among other documents.
I want to bring my wife on H4.

There is something which is personal...buying a house is one such...opinion poll shouldn't decide that....GC or not if you feel like buy one...
We went thru the same decision 3 years back but not buying a house was one of the best decisions....the best way is to ask people who are selling houses....in the northeast it is a hell to sell houses.
My suggestion if you are a medico or a lawyer go ahead....but being attached to the tech sector is no safety net for buying a house....I have had friends with 300K take home file for bankruptcy in this economy after both members loose very lucrative jobs....just a statistic...by 2010 more than 50% households in the USA will owe more for mortgage than their houses net worth.....
Again it is an individualistic decision....go ahead if you feel confident...two things you must make sure you are in the house for at least 3 years....tax savings are no security...house tax and work on the house do add costs up....
+ House in USA is no longer an equity proposition but a liability...

I think with 17 years of Experience you can easily be filed in EB2. You need better Education evaluation certificate.

I had anticipated this and actually converted my I-140 which was filed regular in Feb 2007 to Premium a few days after the June Bulletin and the fact that they terminated I-140 premium processing altogether for Labor Substitutions.
We immediately converted our I-140 (in which we were recapturing our older PD), to premium to avoid any such future USCIS Bolts from the blue.

labor cert approved : 3/30/2004

i 485 sent : 7/2/2007

Joined date: 2/14/2008 (after 6 months)
filed ac21 by company attorney
contacted congressman's office when pd become current for more than a year but no approval. Got response that it is pending in extended review.
Left company b to move south side because of health issue ( winter) .
Company b understood the situation and left in good terms with them.

There is one more option for you. H1 and L1 employees can go on long paid/unpaid leaves. If her company can support with document that she was on an unpaid leave for any reason (I do not know the reasons...make something) then there are chances that she will be able to change her status back to H4. All you have to prove that there was a good faith employee employer relationship for that particular duration. Talk to a lawyer, explain the situation..........every passing day is making your situation worse. Good Luck.

How are you trying to locate your record? Do you have your case number handy? Employer details, priority date - all that helped me find mine (rather helped me narrow it down).
I downloaded the 2004 file as you said and searched it, but could not find any information about my labor. Do you think the labor apps processed by backlog centers are in a separate file???
